Scary situation happened today

Today when I arrived back from school like I always do I saw my new neighbor’s son who also goes to the same school as Gabby, well there was no car on his drive way and I noticed the scared look on his face. The look of fear I got out of the car and took my cell phone out and said, “(let’s call Mommy”) the boy said, “I do not know her number”, I said do you know any one’s number? He replied no, My Mom said I can walk I do not know wear she is, with in seconds Mom came flying down the street and said, “ wear were you”? I was in the car loop like always, you have a cell phone I even texted you several times, the son said “oh I left my phone in the house”. Mom said you never walk what made you do that? He said “ we discussed this Mom,” Mom replied yes you asked me if you can walk, I replied with me following you, however it looked like it was going to rain and besides you wait to see me. You never go alone; I was smart to come home first quickly before calling the police over to help look for you. You do not do that. Mom thanked me for being a concerned parent and helping out her son and for staying with him and keeping him safe, I was glad that they reunited and that the boy was safe. I did ask that the son put emergency phone numbers in his agenda in case something happens again so that he has a contact phone number.


SAFTEY TIPS

Please always have a back up plan incase you are late. There are too many missing children out there, talk to your children about safety and in case they do not see you what to do.

1. Have emergency phone numbers handy, in a backpack, pocket, wallet, purse, or school agenda

2. Always have a special place that if you are lost at school or any wear else wear to meet.

3. Stay on the school grounds and wait, if confused why your ride is late talk to the local helpers on the school yard look for the police officer or go to the front office.

4. If you have a cell phone call the emergency number of your ride weather its, Mom, D ad or family Relativities, chances are they might be in the line wear you may not see them.

5. Do not leave the ground of any location with someone else if you are lost. Wait for your party.
