I TRIED

Routines

Last night we tried to get back in to a routine to help gabby get back on track, for school…so here it goes wish me luck

Emma our two year old

Well Emma decided not to take her regular nap so I decided to keep her up and put her down around 8 pm, ha (remember the word I TRIED) so she was getting tired we watched some TV then I turned it off and we went to the table and colored. Mean while Gabby was working on the practice Math and Reading book that I left out on the table for her, so after coloring we played games on the playhouse Disney - Charlie and Lola; Emma was laughing and having a ball.
Emma is starting to say and repeat words like a parrot almost, ha, its funny that this little girl is blooming and coming out in this world, I can’t wait to see what the lord puts in her path way. We always wonder (what will they be like, what will they say) well then I took Emma for her bath and Gabby took over the computer playing fun brain games until it was her turn. It was going smooth, I kind of was excited. So after bath we decided to blow dry Emma’s hair, if you know Emma her hair for a 2 year old is long.
Then we read the bible story books that grandma and grandpa gave her. And she started rubbing her eyes so we finished and went to her bed. I said, “hop in to your bed and I will lay with you.” well two mins later (Thank God) she was out snoring, fast a sleep, it was perfect. So then I went to child # 2

Ok honey lets review your reading, I was so proud of her that she knew every thing, there was a part that she struggled but got it, then we laughed and had bonding time, it was great, then we had bath time and bed. Well I was alone; it was so peaceful in the house 8:45 and both girls in bed unheard of in this house. But so thankful, I had a headache and was tired, so back to my funny part

The older child could not sleep, she kept coming up and down the stairs and was saying she could not sleep, I of course went back tucked her in and said good nite,
I counted.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ok, here she comes down the stairs and now by this time is 10:45 pm being that she was opening and closing her door that squeaks and that woke Emma up. She came out running crying, so I tried to put her down but it didn’t work, Gabby who couldn’t sleep and was waking every one else up, came down stairs and they all were in my bed… now they were talking and laughing, and I said nite nites which is Emmy’s word for good nite well she said nooooooooooooo, Mama, if you know Emma you know she loves to pretend to talk on the phone, so she started to say hello mama, dad d ad ada nite nites, I was laughing so I said hang up your phone call and nite nite she looks at me and says bye mama bye bye mama, and blows kisses on the phone.

Well now its 12:30 and still they refused to sleep. So we all went in to the living room made a big bed and turned on the TV, guess what that worked they finally went to sleep every one.

So we will attempt to try this again. Tonight…. send me your prayers that twice is the charm… God bless
