I met Laura 3 weeks after I found out the diagnosis of Larson. She called one afternoon and my heart jumped when I saw the caller ID!! I was so comforted to have another mom to talk to who had gone through the same thing. Laura talked with me during my pregnancy, came to my birth and took incredible pictures, helped my husband and I make memorial service arrangements and continued to walk along side my on this journey. I have 4 healthy children, so planning for Larson was SO much different. I had to get all my memories in 23 hours. I would not have the mementos without her help! Dear Parents,Let me say how honored I am you have chosen String of Pearls to walk with you on this journey. If you find yourself reading this, you or someone you love has found the joyful anticipation of the birth of a baby has turned into a time of confusion and hopelessness. We are here to let you know you are not alone.
String of Pearls was created out of a need to support families who find themselves on the darkest road they have ever walked. We have walked this road and there were days we felt so alone. Our desire is that families are able to have a place where they can feel supported and loved as they walk on this journey of saying hello and goodbye all in one breath. We want to walk with you each moment of this difficult journey. We can offer you practical guidance and compassion as you make plans to honor your baby’s precious life. We will be here every step, helping to calm the confusion and offer hope for the journey.

String of Pearls was created to provide a nurturing and safe place for families as they navigate the path following a fatal prenatal diagnosis that will result in the death of their baby prior to, or shortly after birth. The path between grief and hope is a difficult place to walk; our desire is to provide guidance, compassion and practical suggestions as plans to honor the life of pre-born babies are crafted. Each life has a story worthy of telling and we are here for support as stories are lovingly written
