I did not win this week on the I love Faces but no room for tears cause my two close blogger friends Courtney and Stefanie made runners up and I was so "excited" to see them along with some of my other followers on the runners up collage . Good job guys It is so much fun taking pictures and then to see your friends make it that is awesome.

I wonder if they will consider breaking it up from professional photographers to everyone else. There is no comparison to the level of work they can produce - with the camera, photo programs they use and know. I love seeing their work and learning from it or at least trying to - but not sure this is the right way to host this each week. Just my .02

I so agree with you Jill . I t does not seem fair and is a upset that new learners may feeli intimaded by this.
I'm not a pro like the winner , that picture touched me and was amazing , the vivid color and tech was well thought out in teh process. I'm not quite there yet would like to be but i'm not . still a learner and a slow one to boot like i said before I'm having trouble with my photo shop and that is the elements sigh....
and my camera for get abaout it , I'm still learning how to use it and just decided to upgrade as well another lesson to taech my self.
one day I will learn how to do your amazing headers and Buttons. I so love your layout of you blog/button so me....

Hi, gals! Hope you don't mind me breaking in a moment. I'm Angie's sister and just wanted to let you know some of the issues she's facing. Right now, Angie and Amy are solely running the site with no advertising funds yet. For them to break up the site into two categories (pro/beginner) just wouldn't be feasible. They are thrilled with the attention this site has received so early in the game. With 300+ entries each week, I happen to know that Angie is spending 5 to 8 hours a day keeping the site going. (leaving comments, doing collages, looking at individual pictures, downloading them, setting up winner pages, etc.) With 4 kids, a Stampin' Up business and those daily chores we all love such as cooking, cleaning, etc., dividing up the pictures would be near to impossible. Trust me, Angie and Amy have really neat ideas in mind for the future that will benefit all participants. They just need time to show that they're a serious website that advertisers would want to do business with (and hopefully) donate great products to. Until then, I know their hope is that everyone will view the site as an opportunity for gleaning inspiration and encouraging each other to become better photographers. I know that I've benefitted just in making new friends on the web. I've had fun participating and this with knowing that I cannot win. (wouldn't want family favoritism...and I have a ways to go as a photographer. :) Hope this helps...take care!
