I saw this Blog carnival on my sweet friends bloggy mama smitten .
I have to say that my friend has hit me between the eye's this week with her posts, Her words just inspire me , she Say's exactly what I would say feel or think of at that moment, You can say she is my twin basically . Love ya friend mama s .
A Good Girl looking for a date and hearing that her father was diagnosed with cancer and that he was never able to attend his own prom , so, what do I do, Well I invited my Dad to go with me. Nevertheless my Hubby to be, was in the Army at the time and he was always going back and forth on leave to come and visit my family since my father served min his same army unit.( He WANTED Brownie points I know it) I personally never looked at him much but as friend of the family. Magically, life changed for me dramatically at my prom like Cinderella at the ball . My parents received a call the night before the prom asking who I was going with cause the prince wanted in.... wink ladies

When my Mom said that I was going with my Father The Prince and Hubby to be said "I would like to go as well and escort her". What is a girl to do. I started out with no prom date and ended up with two and a Hubby to boot . I declined his offer to appear as a second date cause I wanted to go with my Father. As a stubborn Prince, in his Army uniform that he had on, he took a flight from Fort Bragg and could have ruined his Army status at the time , could have been in Jail for 45 days due to going what they call "A-wall" and when he arrived he rented a car and went to my parents house in hopes to still be the prince charming to escort me. Little did he know that the Limo had already left, My Mother gave him the direction to were the Ball was and he showed up there..
Once he did arrive and Embarrassed me that I did indeed have 2 dates not1 it was breath taking .
I shared my time with both and then after the ball we drooped off my real first date to hit the hay cause it was past his bed time and the second prince charming took me out to eat cause who eats at the prom that you spend hundreds of dollars to go to?.......
After we ate there we stayed up talking for hours and hours then when arrived home he asked permission to take me away for the day to no other then Disney World. Seems that he had Discounted Tickets in the army .
So we went, now, I had a rule on dates that If I did not like the fella I would ask to be excused go to the Ladies room and call for the back up to pick me up...
Yes this is true, I would sneak out before any one noticed and meet my Mother to pick me up and save me.
So with that said My Mother was concerned with me going to Orlando with My prince but I felt comfortable I can not describe it . maybe the risks he took to make my evening at the Ball complete . Something about this prince was indeed charming to me and it took my Breath away.
We had a Blast at Disney and No I did not leave him there or escaped . I enjoyed our time together and on the line of "It's A small world" he Kissed me waiting for the slap but I indeed was charmed by his charming ways and attempts to sweep me off my feet and there was a love like no other, we were romeo and Juliet and falling in love .
Arrived home, for months followed we talked -wrote letter's to one another for he still had a total of 5 months left in the Army . When we arrived at the air port to come get him he
took us all out for dinner and then followed by a weekend he proposed to me ....
I said yes.

This week has been tough for all of us in my family with that word Change going on........
Today my daughter said "Daddy you Rock" when she entered the car this afternoon. Not because he brought her a ice cream but because she was so excited to see him.
My Hubby is always working 24-7 and well since this layoff he has been here at home with me, we have dinner at night we have been getting things in ship shape order .
we have been bonding together in a way like no other .
Funny thing is that when we were in service and the pastor was saying "God is gonna mess you up ! " he wants to mess you so you can do better things, not to get to comfortable...
He is gonna make changes in your life that you have never seen before and he will open the door's for you. God does not close a doors; he opens them. he likes change, I suppose and that he is gonna show me and guide me in a new direction I so believe this is gonna be a great move for me and my family.
My Hubby is the provider of the family he is all about us and our needs he will put us before himself and so open hearted will sacrifice every thing for us.
He is a awesome Hubby . I'm so thankful he is in my life.

Some how I randomly found this blog through I love faces and this post caught my eye. You really did have a Cinderella story and I thought it was great. =) I really enjoyed reading it! Oh and on another note good "wonder" photo.
Oh, Michelle...I loved reading this! I loved reading about how you and your Prince Charming met and how his heart was so transparent. True love...just beautiful! And now, your whole outlook on the cards that God has dealt you is just inspiring. I've been in your position before...God has "messed us up", too, and it's such an amazing thing to give it all to Him and just trust that He will lead to through it. There is such a peace involved. I'm so glad you're soaking up your time together and opening your hearts to new possibilities in your lives.
I'm just in love with your family...your children are precious and you're obviously doing something right with them! Hope you have a blessed weekend!

What a sweet love story and I love the little Cinderellas decorating the post. It really is a Cinderella story with your prince charming coming to steal your heart away. :) I also love what your pastor had to say. It's so easy to forget that God can see the whole picture while we're just looking at life through our own imperfect eyes. I've found a lot of comfort in that knowledge through my life.
